Impulso Hotel by Mellow Mood Hotels

Close to the subway. Room was realy clean and big enough for 2+1. Breakfast was standard, but good. There is parking at the hotel, for 20e, but you can also park on the street (free in the weekend).

For breakfast, I would have appreciated a wider variety of fresh fruit. Overall, the experience was very good. However, although there were only two of us, we had to stay in a triple room and pay for it, as no double rooms were available.

Location wise the hotel is ideal for public transport - Metro 4 is a few minutes walk away, Keleti Station about a ten minute park (or you could take the Metro one stop) and plenty of trams and buses close by. The hotel itself has been tastefully decorated and has a nice relaxed vibe to it. My room on the eighth floor had a handy skylight, well equipped and clean bathroom, comfy bed, functioning air con unit, self programmable safe and even a chilling cabinet for water and other consumables. The two elevators meant that I was never waiting long in either the lobby or on the eighth floor. Reception staff were polite and helpful at all times, there is a bar which proved handy on a few occasions and ample, comfortable seating with large TV which seems to show sports whatever the time of day. The lobby also has a secure - receptionist controlled - luggage room for storage on departure day. Breakfast is self service with a good range of cereals, meats, cheeses, breads and pastries and also some hot options every morning and is served to the comparatively late time of 11 o'clock.
