Inatel Cerveira Hotel

Rooms are on the smaller side, but very nice. We were part of an inatel tour group, and despite heavy rains our tour guide Laura kept everyone's spirits high, and we had a lot of fun. She even participated on group activities with us in the evening. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Our bus driver was amazing as well. Again, despite the heavy rains I always felt safe with his driving. His ability to maneuver such a large vehicle through difficult and tight streets was astounding. The hotel itself was clean and inviting, the buffet food was excellent, and there was a nice mix between variety each night and returning favourites. I didn't get to try any of the outdoor amenities due to the rain, but the hotel does have a small indoor play area for children, a small auditorium, gym, and games room inside.

This is our second time at this hotel. The first was 20 years ago. It was a really nice place, hotel made out of an historical building, large bar and games room, lots of nooks and other rooms for activities around. The outdoor area had some gardens to walk around and enjoy. Now after the whole building underwent renovations and modernization, can't say it has the same charm. Their claimed "ample" game room is a fish bowl with one single billiards table and 3 card/table games tables. It's small. The bar lounge area is small. Overall the charm of this place is the location and the regional hiking trails and historical sites to visit. The hotel still has its large swath of sports fields though.

Stayed at this hotel and found the common areas very cold and poorly lit at night. The presence of flies, particularly around the breakfast area, was concerning for health and hygiene. It had potential but needs more investment and maintenance. It’s a 3 star hotel, not a 4 one.
