We stayed in the suite at the end of the hotel overlooking the pool. The rooms (bedroom and living room) were clean and the view was spectacular. However, the suite could use a deep cleaning, window cleaning to remove the milky salt air damage, and carpet spot removal. In addition, the outside balcony and its roof showed a bit of damage from the wind and sea air and could use some minor repairs and paint. The receptionists and staff at breakfast and dinner were friendly, helpful, and professional. The location was great and we were easily able to walk the town from the entrance of the hotel.
Our flight got canceled that’s why we got accommodated at this hotel for one night. The room was nice and clean. Andre at the reception was exceptionally welcoming and courteous. But the staff at the restaurant was unprofessional and gave us the feeling that we were not welcome. The fish dish we got was not good.
We were stuck in Flores for an extra day due to a cancellation, and this was, unfortunately, the only option in the area. We walked in, asked for a room, and Ana (the lady at the reception) told us that the rate was 121 euros. We asked if she could match their rate on Booking.com (109 euros), but she said no, so we booked online. At that point, she told us that check-in started in three hours. On the terrace, you will find two chairs and a small table. However, if you have room 111, you are out of luck, as you can see from the pictures. Unless, of course, you don’t mind sitting under dangling cables and having things fall on your head. The internet connection is basically nonexistent. The Wi-Fi didn’t even reach 2 Mbps. And if you think, “I have my own data, so it’s not an issue,” think again. Vodafone service in the building fluctuates between zero and one bar. It was practically impossible to make or receive phone calls indoors. The cherry on top of it all, it was a cockroach I found in the bathroom right before leaving the facility. The location is ideal, but the hotel is literally waiting to fall apart. The only good things we can say are that the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the view from most of the rooms is breathtaking. It's a pity to see so much potential go to waste, but until they fix the several flaws mentioned it's better to avoid this property.
