Indigo Bordeaux Centre Chartrons

The staff was great, always accommodating my ever-changing schedule. The rooms are comfortable with excellent amenities. The breakfast is delicious and of high quality. The location is perfect.

I had used points to book a standard room and was made an offer at check in to upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable price (which included a bottle of very good champagne). The suite was very large and ‘well appointed’. Very large and comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. The area in which the hotel is situated (Chartrons) has a real bohemian feel, full of cafés, bars, restaurants, antique and art shops, bakeries etc.

Good location and close enough to downtown. A tad weary, and the facilities, in particular the rooms are so-so. The reception staff were courteous and helpful. The rooftop bar, however, is a bit of a joke. Lovely seating and vista outside, but try getting the obviously underworked staff to do anything.... Yeesh! I suspect they thought that I should be grateful to be served by them. Not recommending this hotel as there must be better, more hospitable, locally, for the value. Oh, and I'm an IHG member, with a significant status, so am well used to better from the chain. Whinge over!
