A wonderful stay in the jungle. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent excursions into the jungle. The staff were friendly, welcoming and all spoke excellent English. Our guides, Tino and Josh, were enthusiastic, funny and knowledgeable. To clarify a few points: Fast, free wifi is available in the eco lodge. No idea why you need wifi when you are in the Amazon though. There is no air conditioning - there are fans and the temperature drops to a comfortable level at night. Remember you are in the middle of the jungle so getting electricity to power air conditioning is prohibitively expensive. Most of the world survives without air conditioning; it is only a few energy hungry countries where AC is on all the time. If no AC is a problem, you are probably not the kind of person who would enjoy the jungle anyway. The cabañas are fully enclosed with fly screens and blinds are lowered at night. The beds are also topped with a mosquito net. We had no problem at all with mosquitoes. Overall an excellent stay and I would love to return someday. To all the negative reviewers, maybe the Amazon is not for you, and if you are worried about there not being a pool, maybe check yourself and remind yourself that you are in the middle of one of the most amazing ecosystems in the world. One that survives without chemical pools and massive electricity use.
We had an amazing 3 night stay here! Our guide, Nixon, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The entire staff was wonderful. The lunch menu was fantastic and the dinner menu rotated daily. The excursions were awesome and we got to see amazing wildlife - as a note, though, some excursions are not included and cost ~100 extra USD. The accommodations were super comfortable, especially in the suite with a plunge pool which was great for cooling off. This was the perfect blend of adventure and luxury where you can experience the jungle and still be cozy. It was great to be disconnected from phones, but there is WiFi you are able to access if needed. Can’t recommend enough!
An amazing place to visit deep in the jungle. Highlights for us was a Bushmaster snake but there is absolutely loads of wildlife everywhere you look but you must open your eyes to see it. Inkaterra lodge is absolutely superb to stay at. Loved it and finished off a 17 day trip to Peru in style.
