Inn at 500 Capitol

My husband and I loved this hotel! It was very luxurious and romantic. We were in the Deluxe King. Spacious and very clean. The decor was nice. I loved the fireplace! The hotel is in great walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops and even the zoo! The restaurant, Hemlock, in the hotel was very nice. My husband and I ordered a delicious dessert. The hotel staff was great - very courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel if staying in downtown Boise!

Beautiful hotel. Parking is 100 percent valet. Valet attendant was absolutely amazing, but I didn't get the hype in reviews about the great staff . Other than valet, I didn't experience that at all. Love the room butler for room service. The location is great. Wonderful amenities . Was told Expedia doesn't pass down the type of view you booked. Staff tried to give another room, but it was worse. Disappointing

Don't do what we did and bring a black light. So many gross stains on the window curtain, bed frame and floor (vomit, piss etc...). It didn't smell overall and the bed was clean though. Shower was old and a bit worse for wear, and also only one small half size towel was provided. The display above the bed was a series of western memorabilia which smelled pretty gross I'll be honest. Musty, dirty leather. It kept me awake, along with my being grossed out about all the stains... Customer service was kind, they gave us a discount for our dog. Free snacks were nothing to write home about but that was also nice to have. Breakfast isn't until 9 on the weekend, FYI. Overall, it worked for our one night stay but I expected a more upgraded room for the price. Get rid of that carpet and the curtain! Also, the valet system was a bit crowded... Prepare for a lineup during peak hours...
