This is by far the most aesthetic and attractive hotel in downtown Pismo—plus, it’s within walking distance to everything essential. What truly sets this place apart is the amazing staff. From the front desk to valet, servers, hosts, bartenders, and even management, everyone works together like a well-synced team. It genuinely feels like a family, and that level of teamwork shows in the exceptional customer service. A special thank you to Marisol at the front desk, Jesse, Robert, and Angelica for their outstanding hospitality. Even Holly the accountant was even helping the front in ensuring that all guest are well taken care of, Talk about team work! They all made sure my family and I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay, and even encouraged us to return in the future—which we definitely will, thanks to the incredible service we received!
First, Anastasia at the front desk must be recognized for her amazing customer service. She was so friendly, so helpful, showed so much care and attention to detail, and really reassured us that our stay would be nothing short of 5 stars. Our fire pit room with a view of the pier was absolutely unbeatable, and was the highlight of our trip up the entire coast. The breakfast at the bar in the morning was delicious, but was outdone by the impeccably friendly and refreshingly upbeat staff. 10/10 would stay here again, mostly because of the entire staff.
Disappointing Stay Due to Poor Cleaning Standards – August 2–5 I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at Pismo Beach from August 2–5, and unfortunately, the experience was not up to Hilton standards — especially when it came to cleanliness and service. On our first night, we were told our room hadn’t been cleaned because of a Wi-Fi outage, which supposedly prevented them from receiving the housekeeping list. They also mentioned they were prioritizing incoming guests over current ones — which felt like a poor excuse and a bad policy for those already checked in. The next day, housekeeping did come by, but all they did was make the bed and take out the trash. The floors weren't cleaned, the sink was untouched, and worst of all, there was still hair left in the shower. It was obvious the room wasn’t given a proper cleaning either day. Check-in was smooth and the staff member who helped us was polite. However, the checkout experience was the opposite. When I called the front desk with a simple question about a late checkout, I was put on a long hold. I had to call multiple times when ultimately the staff finally picked up, he said he had a line of guests in front of him, which again made it feel like current guests weren't a priority. Overall, I expected much better from a Hilton-branded hotel. The lack of basic cleaning and attention to guests staying multiple nights was disappointing, and I would likely consider other options the next time I’m in the area.
