I stayed here for three nights while attending a wedding on the island. Booking a beachfront room was the perfect choice. Waking up to ocean views and having a serene spot to unwind made the trip even more special. Even spotted a couple of whales passing by! The room was spotless on arrival and maintained well with daily cleaning. The fridge worked great for keeping drinks and snacks cold, and the bed was very comfortable. While the location is a bit removed from town and Mari Beach, the 24-hour store just a short walk away was super convenient. The staff were also friendly and always ready to help with any requests. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would happily choose this place again!
MODERATELY RECOMMEND - KiiKii Inn & Suites 🇨🇰. Highlight of this place - the pool ☺️🩲🏊🏾♀️🐬💦♥️ Not trying to be a hater, just want to fairly share the pros and cons of this place. Meitaki Maata 🙏🏾 Duration: 3 nights. Cost: $402.30 + $14.08 card fee. Total $416.38. Sleeps: 1 single bed, 1 double bed. ✅ Cheap and affordable - this is not a resort or hotel. More like a motel. ✅ Stunning mountain and ocean views. ✅ Swimming pool with beautiful garden surrounds and plenty of outdoor furniture. ✅ Daily room service. ✅ Complimentary tea/coffee. ✅ Kitchen in room. ✅ Spacious room with private entrance and patio with table and chairs. ✅ Room was tidy and clean, there was the odd mark here and there but this place seems older. ✅ All windows have insect screens. ✅ Private bathroom. ✅ Free wifi - only available in the reception area when it is open. ✅ Very comfortable bed, just don't look at the mattress 🤣 ✅ Great photo spots around the pool and on the beach. ✅ Hear the waves crashing while you drift off to sleep. 😴 ✅ Papa Harry's food bar. Where you can purchase burgers etc for breakfast. I only saw this place open in the morning but was not told anything about this food bar at check-in. ❌ Only Accomodation out of the 3 I stayed at to include a card fee. ❌ Staff could work on being more hospitable and welcoming at check in. ❌ Staff at check-in tried to overcharge me late check out. Luckily I had already enquired about this before I had arrived and had the price and late check out time in writing. ❌ Wifi charge of $5 for 24hrs, however the quality was very bad. I had to either lie on the bed closest to my room door or stand outside. ❌ No complimentary water or milk - water was available for purchase at reception and room had packet crema. ❌ Fridge was switched off at the wall on arrival. ❌ One kitchen cupboard could not close. ❌ No aircon, however open windows and fans provided plenty of airflow. ❌ Cockroaches and ants in room 🪳🐜. As soon as I entered my room, I discovered a large dead cockroach in the bathroom and one very alive one in the kitchen, I had to run back to the reception and ask for some fly spray. Rather than give it to me, a staff member came down to spray the insect and I asked if this place had a roach problem. I was not told yes or no, just that "the cleaners are meant to check." Only 5mins earlier she had told me that my room was being serviced so I don't know how they missed these two. Counted 9 cockroaches around the kitchen/bathroom area which mainly came out at night throughout my stay which I had to swat with a magazine as staff did not leave the fly spray with me. Left a plate in the sink for 5mins, came back and the sink was full of ants. ❌ Tv in room, however only one channel and it was very staticky. ❌ Shower was very difficult to use, it was either scolding hot or freezing cold. 🚿 ❌ When I went to check out, discovered that the reception was closed for half a day. Please note that it was Good Friday public holiday, however they did not notify me at check-in that they were closing for half the day. As I stood at the door pressing the door buzzer twice, no one came. Other guests who needed reception services also had no idea that the office was closing. There was a note on the door with a phone number to ring which someone rang but nobody answered. As we were all international visitors we felt a bit abandoned by our hosts. I also wanted to ask about airport transfer, luckily another guest offered to drive me to the airport and I left my key in the room. ❌ I would not recommend swimming in the beach, it is very rocky and near the reef, be cautious of stonefish. ❌ Geckos are common and well-known in Rarotonga, however I did not see or hear a single one at this place which could be the reason for the roaches 🦎. ❌ Ashtrays outside rooms. It's 2025, chuck those tacky unsightly things out. One near the front reception had smelly butts in it. Smoking kills. 🚭
Location was great, close to town Rooms: Ants all over the bed, staff were very nice poliet, anything we needed they were always there to help out. The manager or owner needs to SMILE more often, to say Hello or Good morning wount hurt, shel always look grumpy, no one would wana stay at your accommodation if you dont have a welcoming face.. Do better, other then that we enjoyed our trip on the island
