The Mahogany Inn and Distillery has truly transformed under its new ownership. It’s now one of the best spots around (hills or otherwise), whether you’re after a casual meal, celebrating a special occasion, hosting a work function, or just catching up with friends. The atmosphere is second to none, with an incredibly enjoyable vibe no matter the season. Whether you're sitting by the fire on a rainy winter’s day with a glass of red and a hearty meal, or relaxing in the beer garden on a balmy spring or summer afternoon listening to live music, it’s the kind of place you never want to leave. The food is consistently excellent, the drinks list (especially their house-distilled spirits) is top notch, and the service is always friendly and professional. A standout venue that ticks every box. I will continue to return...regularly!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If there was an award for “Pub Waiter of the Year,” Seth would win it hands down! My husband, two kids, and I decided to enjoy a nice family dinner at our local pub. Sounds wholesome, right? WRONG. About 5 minutes after ordering, our children transformed from sweet little cherubs into something out of Jurassic Park. Cue the chaos. We were about to cause a mass evacuation when we decided to save the other patrons and asked if we could take our meals to go instead. Enter Seth, the absolute legend of hospitality. Not only did he keep his cool while I wrestled a toddler trying to escape, he personally returned my runaway daughter (no GPS tracker needed!) and then—like a hero in an apron—brought over orange juices, paper, and pencils to buy us some precious sanity minutes. He then packed up all our meals perfectly for takeaway, probably with the precision of a Michelin-star chef because he knew we’d need it. If you’re looking for amazing service and a waiter who can handle the wild, book a table and ask for Seth. The guy deserves a raise, a medal, and maybe his own reality TV show: “Waiter vs. Ferals.” 5 stars +++++ infinity and beyond for Seth

we ordered our mains, after 50 mins only 2 main meals came out. The wait staff said she had not put the other 4 meals through even though she took our table order all at the same time. So After almost 2 hours since placing the original orders the other 4 meals came out. Burgers were ok, steak was dry and inedible. Very disappointed, Definitely won’t be back anytime soon
