Inn on the Creek

Stayed April 4-7 in the Salado Creek Cottage. The entire property is beautiful. There were deer and birds everywhere. The Cottage was perfect for our party of 2 couples. It has a small kitchenette and plenty of room to spread out. There were luxurious robes in the bathroom and a fun porch to sit on. The breakfast each morning in the main Inn was incredible. Katie the Innkeeper is so welcoming and the food is fresh and delicious. Gorgeous dining room with wonderful view. Salado is an awesome town to visit, everything is walk-able and we wished we had more time to stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our getaway stay weekend! It was just what we needed! Everything was perfect! Katie and the staff made us feel right at home...and the weather couldn't have been better! It was nice to just sit or swing on the porch or under the trees next to the creek and just relax! We really loved our stay!!! Thank you for a great weekend away from the city!

The Horton House was never serviced. Repeated requested for water and fridge repair went unanswered . The bed and mattress were so uncomfortable I could not fall asleep for hours. Plus it leaned to one side and caused pains in neck and shoulders. Room Service linens, beds made, etc were never done over a 3 day stay. There were no drawers to put cloths away. Alexander restaurant is no where near what it use to be. The main inn might be fine but the Horton House is a huge disappointment. You lived out of your suitcase. I’m amending my review. The management finally responded. They made every effort to address each issue beyond my expectations. I sincerely appreciate everything she did.
