I love yumura onsen. it is a quiet must visit onsen village but full the surprise. yuam ryokan impressed me with their totally brand new renovated and modernised big heya (room), they served milk tea as welcome drink and I love it. needless to say, the staff are friendly and attentive. the onsen is better than expected, I love the outdoor onsen especially during winter (the time I stayed), the only things is that you need to take bus to come to here if you do not drive but the distance is definately acceptable not far from hamasaka. overall, highly recommended to come and experience onsen and kaiseki ryoli with yuam ryokan.
