INNSiDE by Meliá Düsseldorf Derendorf

The hotel is a typical standard business hotel, really nothing special or fancy. The big turnoff was that I booked a guranteed room and at check-in time they told me that simply they don‘t have this room available. No excuse no „omg what can we do to make this right“, it was more of a „that‘s the way it is“. I at least got free Breakfast to make up for it, but I had to insist on it. Breakfast is also not particularly exciting, very standard. Overall, you go there if you have to do business around the area and it doesn’t break the bank but not because the hotel is so great. Don‘t expect anything special.

I had a pleasant stay at Innside Hotel Düsseldorf overall. The rooms were clean, and the washroom and toilets were spotless, which was great. I was happy with the room allocated to me, but the bedsheets, while clean, were quite rough and uncomfortable on the skin. The room temperature was not ideal, and I struggled to adjust it, waking up multiple times during the night. On the bright side, when I requested slippers from room service, they were provided immediately, and I appreciated the quick response. Overall, it was a good experience with a few areas for improvement.

The hotel itself looks and appears nice and reasonably well maintained & the location is convenient.. The breakfast was decent. However the rooms left much to be desired. We held a conference at a nearby location and had a big group of us staying here. All of us had issues with the rooms as the air conditioning was not working and given the warm weather it was very hard to get any sleep. Plus the rooms near the lifts were noisy all night. The reception staff allowed some of us to change rooms however they did not do anything to fix the air conditioning despite repeated requests which was sub optimal. Also some of the evening staff need training on how to interact with customers in a friendly manner. One guy in particular was rude & I've never experienced a hotel staff whom we are paying to stay at, ever speak to me that way. Definitely will not be returning to this hotel!
