INNSiDE by Meliá Frankfurt Ostend

Can't find a single fault with this hotel. We booked a premium room which was large and airy, super comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast very good (and civilised), we booked the half board package so had dinner there too which was great. Nice area, good transport links, and we always felt safe at all times of the day / night in the local area. Finally a big shout out to all the staff from check-in to check-out, all were friendly, polite, and efficient. Would return tomorrow without hesitation, and definitely the next time Bruce Springsteen is playing in town which was the main reason for our visit :-)

Really nice place. It’s well located with Metro station within short walk, DM, Rewe and local restaurants on the same block. €22 for the parking (per day) but also free public spaces at a short walk. The towels should really be improved, they look very very old. Overall great value

This hotel easily deserves 5 stars, but because of the Owner that refuses to update the keycard system, I will keep it rated at 3 star. In fact, I urge everyone who has same experience to do the same until this problem is resolved. Read why below. ----- Do you want to be afraid every time you leave your room??? Dont look further. Welcome to Innside!! It is a miracle if you can leave your room, and come back without problem. The lock system is SO outdated and BAD, that I had to visit reception 4 times before I could enter my room for the first time. Every time the whole first and most of second day, I had this problem. I had to request a new room on Day 2 because its crazy to keep asking the staff to reset the cards or open the door for you by also trying non stop to make it work. Fortunately, my problem was solved after the new room, but then our other room we booked starting having same problems on Day 3. Horrible!! Because I have NEVER been afraid in my life to leave my room, before coming to Ostend. This is a big deal!! And yes, once more, this hotel is amazing on many fronts. Great and welcoming service too, but the problem with not getting back in your room is outrageous.
