A beautiful small hotel, top quality staff who look after it well. Rooms were so clean and lovely size. The food was delicious. The location is quiet and that's what we wanted, enough restaurants on the beach to explore more. So handy for the beach with our 3 year old who also loved the entertainment. We enjoyed the chilled, relaxed atmosphere and very easy to get to from the airport! Perfect for a week's stay to truly switch off.
This is the perfect spot for a family with something to do for everyone. I was especially impressed with the program focused on children. Our 4 year old had a blast with Ceiba who was just an extraordinary human being making the stay for the children SO interesting and fun. There was a pirate day, superhero day, safari day and every night finished with a disco party for the kids. Unbelievable experience! There was also a Sebastian who made sure adults had some play time too! We especially enjoyed the table tennis. The facilities were fantastic, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The food was great, there was always enough space on sun beds. The beach right next door was lovely with phenomenal sunsets. The staff was always smiling and eager to help. Special shout out to Said at the reception who went above and beyond to make sure we feel like at home.
We booked a tour to this hotel with a standard room. Upon arrival, we were told the hotel was very full, so they would give us an upgraded room. Sounds like something to be happy about, right? Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out that way. The woman at the reception spoke German and very quickly explained how to get to our room – as if we already knew the area and everything was easy. But to reach our room, we had to leave the main hotel gate and walk to a separate building outside the hotel grounds. The room had two rooms – as we later saw online, these were actually apartments. Everything inside was old and in terrible condition. The bedroom had a small window, about 10 cm high near the ceiling – so practically no window at all. I almost broke down crying from how depressing it felt. We complained at the reception, but nobody cared. They were even surprised: “Be happy you got a bigger room!” The room had just one small blanket – and by blanket I mean something that looked like a child’s bedsheet. At least when we asked for an extra blanket, they did bring one. Every time the room was cleaned, there was a terrible smell left behind. The only good thing was the sea view from the balcony. But – right in front of us was the hotel restaurant, so all the smoke and smells came straight to us. It also seemed like hotel staff were living in the same building. Constant noise, laundry, cooking – 24/7. It didn’t feel at all like staying in a 4-star hotel. The food was acceptable, nothing special – nothing that gave a “wow” effect. Cocktails came from a machine, snacks were very basic. There was an option to book dinner at the à la carte restaurant, but the website never worked. Once again, the reception staff couldn’t care less. I went to ask if there were any water activities available, maybe brochures or tours – something that tour operators usually offer at hotels. But we got no information, and the staff rudely said they didn’t know anything. Overall, the staff was not friendly at all. The best and most beautiful thing was the beach – but the hotel has absolutely nothing to do with it.
