Intercityhotel Bonn

The hotel is located right at the main railway station. Very convenient covered parking. Rooms quiet even when directly facing railway. Quite expensive breakfast buffet - and with the variety of bakeries and cafeterias in the vicinity it’s not worth spending money there.

The hotel offered a good variety for breakfast, which was a plus. Our business room was also very spacious and airy. However, the view wasn't anything special. Unfortunately, the beds weren't very comfortable at all; the mattresses made noise with every movement. The bathroom door didn't have a lock. On the positive side, the hotel's location was convenient for storing our belongings and getting around to do other things.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The front desk staff was disrespectful and impatient, treating us differently and even charging us a higher price (he claimed Booking.com sold the same room for 40% more than the hotel, yet after asking for my booking, he gave me the same price). For safety reasons, we decided to book through Booking.com, but he threatened to cancel our room if we didn't book with him. He even refused to let us go back to our room after I'd made my reservation, insisting I wouldn't leave a review for about 20 minutes, we were so exhausted. There are so many other things like this, it's impossible to describe them all. The interesting thing is that I paid 129 euros for a small, noisy room facing the train station, he said that is the only one left that day I felt strongly discriminated against and was terribly upset. I hope it wasn't racism, but simply because we're Asian.
