InterContinental Barcelona by IHG

I truly enjoyed this hotel. Stayed for 3 nights and attended our annual eXp Realty convention. Great staff, excellent service. Good breakfast 😋 with lots to choose from and you get to order eggs 🥚 in addition to the buffet! They served so much food in between the conference I would say best, best conference setting ever! We also swam in the roof top pool and partied on the roof top bar on the 7th floor. The views from the roof top are phenomenal. We celebrate summer solstice there it was spectacular with fireworks 🎆 everywhere. The rooms are spacious and the room service was excellent! In Spain, service is not their strong point but I can tell the really did their best. We did order food at midnight and sat in the lobby, the food was good (it took them a bit of time since we had a table over 10+). The bar area is so pretty. They have plenty of places to hang out. Highly recommend!

Overall a fantastic stay at the Intercontinental Barcelona. Room was very spacious and the A/C was able to cool the room down to a comfortable level. On the rooftop pool, Irina and Karina provided amazing service; when all the chairs were filled they were able to find me a spot still for us to enjoy a late lunch. Breakfast was good but it felt like most items were the same on the second day. Bell staff was great and always willing to help with luggage and taxis. Checkout was seamless as well with a quick explanation of my charges and quite a few follow up emails checking to ensure I had a great stay and if there were any issues. Location wise, it's not in the heart of all the touristy locations but there are nearby bus and metro stops to get you quickly to where you need to. FreeNow (the taxi app) was also very affordable and an easy way to get to the heart of Barcelona. Glad we picked this hotel instead of the Barcelona EDITION.

The rooms are convenient and well-maintained, providing a clean and comfortable experience. Breakfast offers a wide variety of tasty options, which is a definite highlight. The staff are friendly and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, the snack offerings at the club could be improved to better meet expectations. Additionally, while the rooftop bar and restaurant have a lovely ambiance, it would be beneficial to address the issues with food and orders that occurred during my two visits. Overall, there's great potential here with a few adjustments.
