InterContinental Beijing Beichen by IHG

Very spacious , big rooms, great customerservice. Breakfast spread was quite impressive. Although I feel the location could have been better as there were no malls or attractions right next to it. But one of those hotels where the staff speaks in English and is quite friendly. They helped arrange my Taxi most of the days as and when needed. Overall a great hotel. I will surely come back here. More expensive than what I anticipated.

I attended the World Gas Conference for a week. The room had some maintenance issues; one of the marble shelves was broken and removed. As an IHG member, I am very frustrated that my booking link was not connected to my IHG account, as it was controlled by the organizer. The rate was extremely expensive. Additionally, the receptionist refused to provide any hard copy evidence of all the payments made.

Amelia at the reception left me standing while I was waiting for my turn and let guests who came after me and she served them. This is truly unethical and unprofessional from a hotel such as the Intercontinental. The funny is that I was staring at her looking if she gonna realize what she was doing…….but ……business as usual, didn’t even blink. When she finished serving them, I kindly told her I was standing for more than 10 mns and that she didn’t notice she was serving people that came after me, the only reply I received was: “I’m sorry “. But that will not do it. That’s why I’m giving just 1star
