InterContinental Chantilly Chateau Mont Royal by IHG

We had a fantastic 2 night stay here and would have loved to stay longer. We had a beautiful suite on the second floor with a huge balcony overlooking the forest. The room decor was very tasteful and everything was clean and well maintained. The staff at the property were all lovely and we also really enjoyed the restaurant. We ate in the bistro and it was very good. We'd try the other restaurant next time.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at, with truly scenic views. From the moment you arrive, you immediately feel relaxed. The location is also ideal, very close to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (even closer than Paris city center), making it a great spot for a peaceful getaway before heading home. The staff were incredibly genuine, helpful, and friendly, a special thank you to Patrice for his exceptional service! My only regret is that I only stayed for one night. I definitely recommend the InterContinental Chantilly and hope to return soon!

I love how magnificent this place looks like, on top of its hill, dominating this infinite forest, and it's a very nice and quiet place. The fine dining restaurant in particular (Stradivarious gastronomique) was particularly good. They offer bikes (regular and electric) that you can borrow but beware that most of the paths around the hotel and all the way to Chantilly are aimed at horses rather than bikes, so lots of sand, not super convenient for bikes. We still did it, but not everyone in the family was happy about the day. And for this review, only 4 stars instead of 5 because: - decoration, however subjective, is somewhat minimalist inside (common areas and rooms) - similarly, we took rooms with a terrasse and the terrasse equipment was also minimal (table and 2 chairs, where there was the potential for making the large terrasse so much friendlier) - you need to book a slot to go to the pool on Saturday afternoons - the door keys are old fashioned magnetic cards instead of modern RFID cards, and they kept stopping working multiples times during our stay for each of us - quite annoying - service felt more like subpar 4 star hotel instead of high end 5 star hotel: - when we arrived, the trunk of our van was full of luggage, yes - but after all, it was just one or two small suitcases per person, nothing extraordinary. Yet the guy asked 3 times: do you really want to take everything out of the car? Well, yes, that's our luggage for our 4 day stay. - we borrowed some bikes - they managed to give us one where the tire wasn't inflated enough - but we only noticed after going downhill - would have appreciated that they had checked for this - they insisted Etangs des Commelles were a few hundred meters away from Chateau de Chantilly whereas it's rather a few kilometers away - thankfully we checked on the map - but they wouldn't bulge even when shown that they were wrong
