Room was a bit small if I’m being honest but service, location and facilities more than made up for it. Breakfast buffet had a decent spread and food was good. Gym has classes if you’re interested in signing up and the swimming pool is a good size with a pool side bar. Would book again when I return to Chiang Mai next
My stay at the Intercontinental Chiang Mai was truly incredible. The staff are exceptionally friendly, always smiling and genuinely welcoming. The pool is fantastic, and the food is absolutely delicious. My 5-year-old son fell in love with the hotel and even started calling it “home” after just a few nights. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation spot. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Sarah at reception, who was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful in resolving an issue with my IHG account. I loved everything about this hotel, and I want to extend a big thank you to all the staff at the Intercontinental Chiang Mai—you truly made our trip special and memorable.
I stayed at the InterContinental in Chiang Mai and overall, the hotel is beautiful. I originally booked a regular room but decided to upgrade to a suite, which was spacious and lovely. However, the standard room was extremely small, with barely enough space to place our luggage. Breakfast did not really suit Arab guests, as most of the food was Asian. The “international selection” was basically just tomatoes and mushrooms – no Indian or Middle Eastern options at all. Also, every time I ordered eggs at the breakfast restaurant, they arrived cold — this happened for three consecutive days. I also had an unpleasant experience with housekeeping. My young child accidentally used a pen on the bed sheet. I received a message from housekeeping saying there were marks on the bedding and that they would try to clean it, but if they couldn’t, the cost would be charged to me. They mentioned they would get back to me the next day, but I never received a follow-up. I didn’t like that they did not attempt to resolve the issue first before coming back to me with the possibility of charging me.
