InterContinental Crete by IHG

Fantastic place, well located walkable to nearby shops and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed nearby Amoodi beach for the perfect beach day. The staff at Intercontinental could not do enough for us and every finishing touch was thought of. Non stop housekeeping and great food / drink services. The breakfast was 10/10. We also enjoyed their regular DJ nights on the adults only rooftop with the best sunset views. The massage treatment was incredible, and indoor pool, steam room sauna and hammam inside the spa was a welcome retreat. Definitely request or book a sea view. We can’t wait to return!

Stayed here for two nights and had a fine time. Location is great, breakfast is very solid, drinks at the bar were great & view is incredible. The pools closing at 7pm is a bummer. Another bummer is having to chase down beach towels. We got sent to two places before we gave up. Service also needs some room for improvement. Our AC was pretty weak, so we called the front desk who told us someone will be up to check that it’s working properly. That never happened. At precisely 11am, housekeeping knocked on our door and asked if we were leaving. This isn’t what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel paying close to $500 euros a night.

This Hotel could be so much better if it would be adults only. The amount of kids at the pool is too much and it is super noisy! People without kids won’t find relaxation here. See video. That was the noise level during the whole day. On top coming rude parents who don’t care what their children are doing. Once a life guard was saying something to a father with 3 children cause they were splashing water everywhere and he got super rude and said they can do whatever they want and don’t disturb anyone with it. Oh thank you! Good that you can read everyones mind! Very sad cause the Hotel in general is very good. Nice rooms, very modern and clean. It’s super sad but as long as there are kids allowed I‘m not coming back.
