Wonderful stay. Have all the entertainment in the building. We had some cocktails by the pool and swim. Pool with ocean view. The restaurant is also nice The spa is pretty nice as well. Great holiday for the girls to relax and the boys playing golf at the Bluffs.
InterContinental Grand, Ho Tram, Vietnam – We were not planning this 2-day excursion to Ho Tram but after a couple weeks in Saigon, we wanted to get out for a couple days and stay in a nice place. Our hotel in Saigon is barely a 3-star hotel. We have a high status in IHG (hotel membership) so we used a couple of ‘Reward’ vouchers and stayed for free. We just paid for a van service from Saigon (we found out later that the hotel provides a free van service from Saigon). It’s a 3 hour drive each way. The Ho Tram complex is a Vietnamese local development comprised of a Holiday Inn (also IHG branded) and Intercontinental sharing some of the facilities (pools, beach, restaurants…). There is also a good-looking golf course (Korean draw), Casino, night club, movie theater, game room, and bowling alleys. There must be a total of 8 restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacy…It’s huge, and very well maintained. Truly a 5-star facility at cheap rates. A 47sqm standard room costs only $120 per night, including an excellent buffet breakfast. There are about 8 swimming pools overlooking a beautifully immaculate beach. They even clean the shoreline (under water). The hotel is very low occupancy during the week (we loved that) but we were told weekends are crazy. The only drawback is it is about a 45 minutes’ drive to the main resort/tourist area Vung Tau, so you are isolated. No local restaurants or shopping nearby. So, if you love the beach, surf, swimming pools, golf, family facilities…this place is well worth it. Big thumbs up.
Luxury accommodation and truly 5-stars services by the Lemon Grass restaurant staffs. A special shout out to "Yến", a nice little supervisor with big heart and great attention to detail to customer services and customer satisfaction. Highly recommended and will definitely come back again.
