InterContinental Kansas City at The Plaza by IHG

We had a fantastic time. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and tasty. We had an employee always checking on us. If we needed anything they made it happen. From our balcony you got a nice vista of the Plaza. Great experience in KC.

Pros- the staff. We arrived at 1 am, Thursday July 17, obviously exhausted, and the gentleman at the front desk was lovely- wish I got his name to thank him for the warm welcome. Staff in the restaurant for breakfast on July 17 was also lovely Room- the room was clean and quite large. It was dark and quiet. Con - the only problem with this room was that the shower - tub combo was dated and didn’t drain well. For the price of this hotel, I want a great shower.

The room is a little hard to describe, it’s undeniably beautiful, though beginning to show its age in some areas. Still, its charm shines through. What truly stood out during our stay was Roxanne at the pool. She was amazing! So warm, kind, and attentive. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and takes pride in taking care of guests. She made our time by the pool extra special. Overall wonderful hotel with a great location.
