I was so excited to arrive at the InterContinental Khao Yai, set amidst the beauty of Khao Yai National Park with its unique railway theme. Walking up to reception genuinely felt like stepping back in time into another world – a bygone era of luxury train travel. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I stayed in a One-Bedroom Railway Suite. The whole design felt like being aboard the Orient Express: a cosy TV lounge, bedroom, bathroom with plenty of scented towels and amenities, plus a small patio and even an outdoor bath. Every day I enjoyed happy hour, which was not only a chance for great cocktails but also to chat with the friendly team – everyone is so welcoming, always greeting with a smile. The pool area was fantastic (temperature just right!) with attentive bar staff offering drinks, suntan lotion, insect repellent, and towels. I also visited the spa for a 2-hour massage – so relaxing I actually fell asleep. I followed that with a 30-minute botanical garden tour, which was fascinating; the guide pointed out so many natural details I would have otherwise missed. The grounds are beautiful, especially the lake with black and white swans, perfect for strolling, sitting, or just meditating in peace. Breakfast is absolutely enormous – everything you could possibly imagine is available. At Somying’s Kitchen, the menu is good and the food tasty, though I felt the steak and pork chop could use a stronger seared/grilled flavour to match the quality of everything else. A small detail, but worth noting. A special thank you to the wonderful staff who made the stay unforgettable: •Yui – for your daily warm service and excellent cocktail making, always with a smile. •Pupe – for the buggy rides, lightning-fast WhatsApp replies, and thoughtful check-ins. •Suparathum – for excellent recommendations and meal service. •Tant – your massage was so relaxing I drifted off, thank you! •Fah – for the friendly chats and great advice. So much potential for the future. •Namwan – always smiling, a true ray of sunshine. •Pink / Banana – welcoming and efficient at check-in, just what I needed after a long journey. •Naam – breakfast conversations with you felt like talking to family. •King – thank you for your drinks and warm hospitality at the bar. •Beam – for setting me up by the pool each morning with warm smiles and kind attention. Overall, this is a very special hotel, unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed, with thoughtful design and outstanding staff. I left with wonderful memories and would happily return again.

This resort is very unique designed as Railway theme by Bill Benley. The resort located in Khaoyai valley with mountain view and lake scenic. We had a remarkable experience where great architecture and design seamlessly combine with the big forest, variety of birds, worm, and snail etc. This hotel also is Pet friendly (no limit of dog size) so, our family is completely enjoy the moment together. The most importantly here is very warm service by resort staffs.

This InterContinental resort is breathtaking! From the moment we arrived until leaving, the service by the resort staff was top-notch. We received a private pool/jacuzzi room, and we were impressed with its beautifully unique design. Warm lights, retro-style furniture, and a cozy balcony for breezy nights. PERFECT. Do take a stroll around the resort, or grab a bike and cycle around the swan lakes. You will not be disappointed! Take into account that the location is a bit remote, so there is not much to do around within walking distance. Having a car is recommended if you want to explore further.
