Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur

At first, I thought the hotel might feel a bit dated. While it is an older property, it is very well-maintained and offers excellent service. I was particularly impressed with the staff. The bellman assisted with my luggage, and the front desk provided a seamless check-in experience. Dania at the front desk went above and beyond by offering a complimentary room upgrade and a late check-out until 4 PM—thank you for the thoughtful gesture! The gym is spacious and well-equipped, with a bathroom conveniently located inside. It would be perfect if steam and sauna facilities were included. The pool is on the smaller side but is a great option for families with children. One minor downside was the soundproofing. My room faced the main road, and I could hear traffic at night. The bed was exceptionally large, though I personally prefer a softer mattress. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur and will definitely return in the future!

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental Hotel, and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The entire team—from the front desk to the housekeeping staff—went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. A special mention must go to the wonderful team at the buffet restaurant and the Club Lounge. Every meal was accompanied by warm smiles, attentive service, and a true sense of hospitality. I’d especially like to thank Yogascree, one of the sweetest and most professional waitresses I’ve ever encountered. Her kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile made each visit to the restaurant a joy. She truly embodies what excellent service is all about. This hotel is lucky to have such a hardworking and dedicated team. Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed, and I left feeling cared for and grateful. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back!

The lobby looks nice and elegant and the staff are nice. Went to check in at 5pm and rooms were not ready. They did give us drink vouchers while waiting. The drinks are just made from syrup nothing special, but the place was nice. Service requests to the room takes a long time. At least 30 minutes or more. Had to follow up on requests several times. Really bad sound insulation. From the windows i can hear the sound of cars and traffic in the streets. From the room door i can hear people walking, talking and even singing in the hallway. Can't sleep because the room aircon is too quiet and i can hear all other sounds. Don't know how i'll sleep. Pillows are flat and the bed is hard. Which for me is actually ok. But others might not like it. The rooms are dated but well maintained although with visible wear and tear like rust on some parts of the bathroom and dated carpets, also the bathroom door creaks loudly, so if middle of the night using bathroom, others might wake up with the noise. Cleaning is ok but not too thourough, found stickers in random places not cleaned up. For the price of the room per night, i think not worth it. Can get better deals elsewhere. Location wise, around 10 minutes walk to several malls. So you can easily find a place to eat. KLCC aroubd 10 minutes walk. The MRT station also walking distance.
