Have been to this hotel 5 times now with the family for quick city breaks, and it is absolutely top draw. the staff is always kind, flexible and welcoming. from the reception where they always try to accomodate early check in, to the pool area with Marco, to the club salon with Jesus and Israel. Food is great. Lots of variety. We always come away happy and relaxed. Cheers to you all.
We had an amazing time at the hotel. The staff was friendly, always smiling, and making sure that we are having a good time. We had access to the lounge, and during the stay, breakfast was superb. Every day you would have different options to choose from. Chef Benjamin would prepare my omelets to perfection with everything I asked for. Victor already knew that Id have a glass of orange juice before my coffee and as soon as I arrived, he smiled and brought me both. Maria Jose would come by and have a chat, assisting with our needs and ensuring our stay was the best one. We occasionally would go in the evenings for a glass of wine and some appetizers, there was always something different on offer each night. Jesus, Ernando, Francisco, were also fantastic. The staff at the hotel was superb and we would definitely recommend. If you have a chance, get the club lounge! Muchas gracias por tudo. We will come back!
After a long ride to the hotel, and waiting in long line at check in, our reservation was not found. I showed the clerk the emailed confirmation — then the clerk found it in his system. The reservation included Club Room access. Finally we got to our rooms, dropped our luggage, and went to Club Room. Third floor. The girl said we did not have access and was very curt. I showed her my IHG email confirmation showing Club Access. She did not seem to care. So, I had to go back downstairs to front desk and stand in a very long line. Again. The check in person said he “forgot to put notes in” the reservation about Club access. Next I went back to Club room and there was only one couple there. But no waiter would come to us. No one. I had to walk to waiter to ask for water and soda. We got to our room, and it smelled of sewage. Later on we found the odor in various parts of hotel, so there seemed no need to ask to change rooms. There were also toilets clogged near lobby bar. That evening about 8pm we went back to club room. We were the only people there. We ate some items from chafing dish. They were not hot or even warm but we were hungry. Huge mistake. The next morning we both were throwing up and had diarrhea. Then noticed the toilet clogged in Club room with diarrhea as well. I went to a local store for Imodium and Pepto Bismol. We couldn’t eat for 24 hours. A later morning we went to Club room for breakfast. They were busy. No one would wait on us, but would wait on adjacent guests. I always smile and am grateful but the server literally smirked at us. One server in the club lounge was great when we got him over the days —but it was not a fluke, this other waiter would not give us even a look. He clearly avoided us. I actually had to wipe down own dirty table (the only empty one) get silverware, coffee, water from server station. Bartenders in lobby bar were excellent. Room attendant was efficient. The servers in the main Mexican restaurant were good but was always the only server and was stressed, sweating, and very overworked. Overall I would never stay here ever again. Funny thing is I am a travel agent and I can never book this hotel with confidence. Ever.
