InterContinental Real Santo Domingo by IHG

Always wanted to stay at an Intercontinental, and finally got a chance! It's a cool, calm oasis in the midst of the busy city. My room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice view of the city. The gym was decent with treadmills and weights and a spin bike. The pool is neat, it's a wrap around so that's fun

We stayed at Intercontinental Hotel on a recent trip to the Dominican Republic. The hotel is conveniently located with good dining options nearby. The hotel has two restaurants and a poolside bar. Customer service is good, we tried using the spa however, they were booked. I recommend making advanced reservations. The rooms are modern, bedding and sleep quality is good. There is a mall and other shopping within close proximity.

The rooms are great! Had an amazing massage. The restaurants were great, service and staff amazing! Excellent location. Now why am I giving them a 1 star review? Well because apparently you're not allowed to kiss your girlfriend in the pool when literally not one person is in the pool. I'm a 38 year old man that was reprimanded for "public display of affection". I've been to Muslim countries that had more relaxed rules than that. Absolutely ridiculous that I can't have a romantic moment with my girlfriend. Legit was only kissing her, no touchy feely. No indecent exposure. But I get it, in this hotel you can't kiss your girlfriend, got. Won't be coming back! Also added the picture of the pool rules don't see PDA listed as not allowed
