InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin is located in the former French Concession, offering a quiet and elegant retreat in the heart of the city. The property features beautifully maintained gardens and a historic mansion that reflects its colonial heritage. The lobby is refined, and the food is of high quality. Overall, it is a charming and pleasant hotel.

Stayed 4 nights on a business trip. The property is huge with spread out villas and buildings over a large area. The taxi guys were lost finding the reception area and there were no clear instructions in place. The decor and common areas are grand and welcoming, however the rooms are small comparatively. The property has a classic feel with vintage architecture and fixtures. The staff are friendly. Only disliked the advance deposit of 4000 Yuan when the rooms are already prepaid in full. They insist on this even when it's a corporate tie up booking. The staff are overall friendly and do understand English well. The food options are limited for vegetarians. The menu was repetitive all days of the week . There are limited options for food nearby in walkable distance. For the pricing of rooms I did not find it value for money.

Ok but not worth the price. The property looks beautiful from the outside and in the lobbies and it’s in a decent location. However, the inside of the rooms are a bit run down and damp. Staff at check were was nice. The lobby bar was very depressing and had the drink selection of a Holiday Inn somewhere in rural Ohio. You are likely to be staying in a building some distance from the main lobby and rarely see other people.
