A True Five-Star Experience What a great, genuine classic luxury hotel. Impeccable service from every staff member. Beautiful well appointed rooms with comfortable beds, balcony and great bathrooms with beautiful Byredo products. Quiet. Could not hear other rooms! Fantastic breakfast, great location, and every request handled with professionalism. Peaceful, quiet, and surprisingly well-priced for the quality. This is what I expect from a 5 star hotel.
First stay here and found it outstanding - one of the last remaining classic, luxury, properly/professionally-run five star hotels in the world. Each and every staff member is fantastic. My room has a marble bathroom and all necessary amenities, and a spectacular view of the bay, especially at night time. Breakfast and location is fantastic, and concierge is world-class (Vanessa), and anything you ring for from any other area of the hotel (such as housekeeping) is attended to quickly. Yet the price of the rooms is surprisingly low considering the quality you get. It’s also really peaceful and quiet here. This is the hotel which all other hotels should be taking the lead from. Hope to be back in Sydney just to come back and stay here.
4 stars as the rooms are a little old and dated. The aircon wasn’t working either. We asked for a king bedroom but got given 2 double beds. Location is great, love the balconies and bathroom is super nice. Rooftop pool is amazing and heated. The bar on the second floor is also nice and elegant. Great hotel, however a little pricey given the area of Double Bay. Unsure where the gym is, even the staff didn’t know where it was 😂
