InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa

Although we didn’t stay at the **InterContinental Tahiti Resort**, we visited to enjoy their **amazing water activities**, and it was an unforgettable experience! We tried **swimming with the fishes** in their stunning lagoon-like waters, which was absolutely magical—crystal-clear water, vibrant marine life, and a serene, beautiful setting. The **jet ski riding** was equally thrilling, offering an exciting way to explore the coastline with breathtaking views. The resort itself is gorgeous, with a luxurious tropical vibe, and the staff were welcoming and professional. Even as day visitors, we felt well taken care of. If you’re in Tahiti and looking for fun, high quality water adventures, I highly recommend stopping by the InterContinental Tahiti Resort, even if just for the activities! A must do for adventure and nature lovers!

We stayed at the Intercontinental Tahiti at three separate times during the month of August. The staff at the front desk and concierge is outstanding. I use a CPAP machine for sleeping and they easily coordinated for me to have distilled water in my room at three separate times. They have a newly refurbished, very clean, European type room that we absolutely loved. Well designed and organized. The food and service staff at the main breakfast restaurant also we very helpful and served a great buffet breakfast that was very clean and high end. The second time (of three) that we stayed, we were booked into an older room that had not been refurbished. I have allergies and the overhead bed canopy material was very dusty and had not been washed or replaced in a long time. The side tables offered no power plugs and were tine and affixed to the wall. Not a good experience for us as I was popping Claritin after that to breathe clearly. We then requested that we stay back in the refurbished type (newer) room upon return our third time. The staff accommodated us and it was again a fantastic experience. We really appreciate that the team was receptive to our request and were able to execute that for us. I would highly recommend the hotel refurbish more rooms with the European clean style and I’m sure you will have many guests for years to come. This is clearly a well managed hotel. My only regret is that I can’t seem to obtain the general manager’s email address to thank him personally.

We stayed a night here for our honeymoon and overall I was disappointed with the experience based on the rave reviews and high standards of this chain I’ve experienced elsewhere. Pros: The warm welcome when we arrived, love the traditional outfits that they wear. Check in was friendly and had tiare flowers that smell divine. The lagoon was mostly empty and cool to snorkel in to get comfortable before going in the ocean. Cons: Our room had no hot water, I called and experienced sassy customer service over the phone as they told me someone would come to fix but they never did and did not provide any solutions or even a sorry. Honestly horrible service, I was left waiting hoping someone was coming even though we had dinner reservations coming up and was treated rudely and lied to when calling service until we just gave up. Even though it was our honeymoon they offered no special touches which is below par for this chain. The dinner show buffet was good, worth the price only once though. It was the same dance troupe for the whole performance, it would be nice to see different ones. If it’s your first time it’s worth seeing it. Overall I would not stay here again based on our poorly maintained room and the terrible service.
