InterContinental Taichung

Intercontinental Taichung is a rare haven at the heart of the district with tranquility and comfort. Doris is the best host who extended sincere welcome and fond farewell to me and my family. She is a gem in the hotel. Even though the weather was not promising during our stay, we got the chance to indulge in the beautiful room. The breakfast is also excellent with high quality and delicate Taiwanese dishes. My family and I truly enjoyed it so much! There’s a dedicated concierge/ bell person whom I forgot his name. He’s tall and thin with glasses. He is very polite, smiley and always willing to serve. He deserves a great compliment. Other than that, I would like to thank the housekeeping and room service team for taking extra miles on my requests. They always look for opportunities to delight and fulfill guest’s needs. Whoever looking for accommodation in Taichung, please try Intercontinental Taichung and you won’t get disappointed.

I had a wonderful stay at the Taichung Intercontinental Hotel, greatly enhanced by two exceptional staff members who deserve special recognition. Doris at the Front Desk consistently went the extra mile with outstanding hospitality at every interaction – her warm smile and kind approach were truly touching and made a significant impact. Equally outstanding was a young, tall, thin gentleman at the Concierge Desk who wears glasses and has a beautiful smile his amazing recommendations for local places included unique ‘plus one’ insights, his cheerful demeanor started our days perfectly, and he went above and beyond at every point. Both Doris and this concierge team member exemplify exceptional service and deserve formal recognition from management for making our stay so memorable. However, most of the restaurant staff look stressed under the pressure of manpower or something. No such simple greetings while in & out for dinning.

From the moment I arrived, InterContinental Taichung impressed with its sleek, modern architecture nestled among greenery and reflective glass panels. The lobby and public spaces echoed the same elegance and restraint as the exterior. The room was beautifully appointed with beds, plush bedding, and a contemporary design that balanced luxury and comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows provided sweeping views of Taichung city, adding a sense of openness and serenity. The bathroom was a highlight — spacious, with a freestanding tub beside the window, a double vanity with refined lighting, and a rainfall shower. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and top-tier in terms of amenities. Breakfast was also memorable. The Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was rich and creamy, paired with quality coffee and a spread of fresh items. Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented😍
