International Atene hotel

We had a lot of apprehension after booking the room and only later checking out the neighborhood (Omonia). Ignore the dire warnings about the drug addicts, hookers and filth. The street, while hardly scenic, was fine. Great central location—easy walk to the Omonia Square Metro station. Hotel was clean, modern and bright. Room was surprisingly spacious. Decent breakfast. Where this place really shines, though, is the staff. Everyone we encountered was beyond helpful, friendly and polite. We were especially delighted to meet Kristine at the front desk. She was amazing. We will be staying here again after we return from our cruise. Highly recommended!

Amazing and luxurious hotel considering the price. I don’t get it what people with negative comments expect. It was extremely clean, modern with good amenities provided. Staff was very polite, professional and did their best to accommodate every guest. Lady on the reception was so kind she even provided me with early check in.

The hotel and facilities are decent, the breakfast is pretty simple but OK (not compatible to a 4 stars hotel). The rooms need to be repainted, the walls are dirty. But the biggest downside is the neighborhood which is not good though it's only 10-15 minutes walk to the center. The neighborhood is not clean and in some places doesn't feel safe. Booking didn't allow me to publish this review saying it includes hate and discrimination.
