We had an amazing experience at Hotel Christopher, and I have to give a huge shoutout to the front desk staff especially one gentleman who went above and beyond for us. Every time we needed something, he was right there, attentive and kind. We asked for ice and even a trash bag for our dirty clothes, and he delivered both without hesitation and with a smile. It’s rare to find that level of genuine hospitality these days. His helpfulness truly made our stay more comfortable. Thank you for the excellent service!
My wife and I recently attended a wedding in New Orleans. The international house hotel was one of several recommended by the family. overall it’s a lovely updated, old hotel. In the lobby, there are several works by the artist Banksy. This was a lovely addition to the well decorated lobby area. Overall, the rooms are fairly small and modestly appointed, but the beds and linens are very comfortable. The bathroom is actually quite large, but possesses a small vanity. My only complaint about the bathroom was the shower door leaked. I reported it to the hotel staff and they quickly brought more towels so I could mop up the bathroom floor. Interestingly, I was able to find a better price and deal online than the wedding party had negotiated! this made me happy but it probably would’ve made other guests unhappy. Overall, a nice hotel and just off the beaten path.
The lobby was cute and met expectations for a boutique hotel however the rooms were basic and outdated. There were very few power outlets. Bartender was very nice and made a good drink. Location was good. In my opinion not worth the price. Response to owner: After the $15 amenity fee it was not $127. Just my opinion and observation that I stand by.
