Ioannou Resort

It was a nice place, but the bathroom need renovation. Actually the rooms need some as well. The carpet needs to go. The breakfast was nice, a little bit of everything. Dinner was good too, it's not a huge variety, but was good. There aren't a lot of street lights at night, it can be challenging to see, not many street signs in general. The pool is also nice, but Very crowded. They offer day passes for swimming, but that doesn't leave space for the hotel guests. Ordering something to eat at pool is a weird set up, you order food with one person, drinks with another. You pay at 2 different locations. Again it's not a full menu either.

The location of the hotel is actually quite nice, it’s situated in a quiet area, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, that’s about the only positive thing I can say. The hotel itself is nothing like the pictures shown online. It’s extremely outdated, which in itself wouldn’t be a problem if it was at least well maintained. Sadly, that’s not the case. There is clear overdue maintenance everywhere: from peeling and torn wallpaper to curtains that don’t close properly, letting in lots of unwanted light at night. The bed was quite uncomfortable with a hard mattress and just one small, sad pillow that did nothing but give me neck pain. On top of that, there were mold stains along the edges of the bathtub, which is honestly unacceptable. We were also welcomed by several flies in the room upon arrival, which didn’t exactly help the first impression. Even the hallways are not in the worst shape, but the hallway carpet is completely wrinkled, making it both unsightly and annoying to walk on. All in all, this hotel is nowhere near four-star quality. I would not recommend staying here unless serious renovations and improvements are made.

A very cozy place, should you are in the location for business or even holidays. Although the rooms are kinda old, the breakfast is nice but short, the pool was of service and the location is 10 minutes drive from the nearest civilization. Apart from those, the people working there are very friendly and always looking to help you.
