A little paradise in the heart of one of Campania's most beautiful areas. I've stayed at this property three times now, and each time I've had a wonderful time. The convenient location, the elegant furnishings and attention to detail, and the beautiful sensory shower with hydromassage are just some of the strengths of this property, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. I will definitely return to Sorrento and to the Iommella, because it feels a little like coming home.
**Location:** This property is located in Sant’Agnello, not Sorrento, which is something to keep in mind. It’s about a 6-minute walk to the nearest bus station, where buses run every 45 minutes and cost €2. However, if you choose to take a taxi, be aware that they tend to overcharge, with fares around €25 for a short ride. **Accessibility:** - **Ideal for**: Those with a bicycle, scooter, or car, as the location is more suited to those with their own transportation. - **Less ideal for**: Travelers on foot, as the walk to get around can be a bit long and inconvenient. **Apartment Amenities:** The apartment is **exceptionally clean** and well-equipped with everything you could need. - Kitchen essentials like **pots, pans, dishes**, and a fridge are provided. - The **shower and toilet** are clean and functional. - There are **plenty of hangers** for clothes, and bed linens are provided. However, keep in mind that there is **no elevator**, and the apartment is accessed by climbing **20 stairs**. **Comfort & Drawbacks:** While the cleanliness of the apartment is excellent, one major downside was the **mosquitoes**. We were bitten multiple times, and the bites were quite painful, which took away from the comfort of the stay. **Host:** The **owner is very friendly and accommodating**, adding a personal touch to the stay. **Final Verdict:** This is a great option if you have your own transportation and are looking for a clean, well-maintained place. However, if you’re traveling on foot or are particularly sensitive to mosquitoes, you might want to consider these factors before booking.
Pretty design but completely ruined the trip. First we were made to wait 40 minutes after arriving before being let in because our train was 12 minutes late the guy had gone off somewhere else already and abandoned us. This for me is unacceptable when you have guests arriving. Then our supposed apartment with living area and kitchen was a bedroom on a street with loud motorbikes driving past all night. I couldn’t cook the food I’d brought meaning had to spend a fortune on pizza and pasta and complete lack of healthy breakfast (I have a specific diet for a health concern) and then I couldn’t sleep at all and got ill from being unable to recover. They brought us a microwave and some plates after we complained and a stove but no pan so not much use and then washing my fruit and plate in the bathroom wasn’t very glamorous either. They could focus a little less on having 16 different types of light and disco colours in the shower that requires a degree to function and have a bathroom with a light and glass door that doesn’t light up the whole bedroom in the night! Top it off, the luxury rooms don’t provide toilet paper beyond a day or two do you’ll have to go get some from the supermarket which can be done but not very hospitable or “luxury”. That’s my feedback from a badly rested and badly fed guest who can’t enjoy her trip.
