Ionion Star Hotel

I went here with my family a month ago :D At first we were a bit disappointed,not to mention the parking area. My family didn’t park it there, but from what I could tell, a lot of people got fines. So I want to tell everyone to be careful when they park close to the hotel. Besides that, the room we stayed in wasn’t bad, the pool I did love indeed, and I really liked the breakfast and dinner . (DINNER WAS ONLY INCLUDED IF YOU WERE WITH A GUIDE!!) I really loved three people from the staff, they were all super sweet towards my family and me :3 Overall I enjoyed my stay here with my family! Decent hotel. Very well located. Clean overall, but rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated. They come in and clean daily, offering fresh towels/sheets. If you book a package with meals, it is clear they prioritize quantity over quality in food. Don´t know how they can serve Danish cheese instead of feta other than trying to save some money. Rooms with windows on the street are noisy, but the view makes up for some of it. It is not a four star hotel by international standards, but overall we were satisfied.

I’m leaving this review for balance as I’m not sure why it’s got such a high rating. This is NOT a 4 star hotel, more a 2-3 star. The photos on the website are totally misleading! It is very outdated, basic and tired. It’s saving grace is the pool to cool down but if you’re there over lunchtime the offering is minimal- only chips, a club sandwich (10€) and salad (10€) The breakfast selection was pretty poor and unappetising too, (the orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed but an over sweet cordial for example) and hardly any fruit Yes the staff were very friendly and it was fine for a 2 night stay but we wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer.
