we just got back from an overnight stay T irago ocean resort. we are not from a different pref but we are from the other end of aichi so we traveled for almost 3 hours. we used google map and it was easy to ge to the resort. we got to the resort at around 11:50am. i called ahead and asks if we can use the facilities even before check in. they told me we can use the pool at around 1pm. my kids were so excited we stayed in the lobby for about an hour. use their free wifi and has no hassle using it everywhere around the resort. when it was 12:50 i asked the reception if there is a changing room near the pool and they said they have lockers and changing room near the pool and have asked if i already did the check in process and said no. i thought we will enjoy the pool and about 3 pm we have to go to the lobby to get the keys and check in. good thing the receptionist said no need to wait until 3 pm for check in as long as we know that we can only enter our room at 3. they gave me the key card to our room, explained the dinner reservation, asked for breakfast time and all the necessary things we need to know. it was so smooth. we then went and enjoy the pool. first if i knew we could use big pool floats we would have bought some. they have floats for sale even drinks, ice cream but as expected it was expensive. we would rather wait for the dinner buffet. the pool side is organized. if your staying for the night you could use the pool from 1pm til 5pm. night pool is for adults only. you could use the pool the day of check out from 10am til 12noon too. the public bath is also open from 1pm til 12midnight. 5am til 10am the next day. by 3pm we were hungry and tired we decided to change and go to our room. the view is fantastic. we loved the bed is so fluffy and yet hard enough to support your tired body. they have vending machine every floor. has a water dispenser every floor and even have ice dispenser at 6th floor. they have complimentary ucc coffee pods, tea and a pot for heating water. they also gave us melon snacks and it was delish. they have small refrigerator if you bought drinks with you. we brought snacks, cup ramen and drinks with us and ate it while killing time. by 6pm two staff knocked and entered our room for setting the futon beds. 7:15 is our dinner reservation and the buffet was a big hit! they have melon festival buffet and it was sooo sweet! they have steak, chinese food, japanese sushi and western food. for an additional price of 2,500 you can get drink all you can alcoholic drinks. after dinner we get back to our room but we also checked out the entertainment room played a little and rested. the next day was beautiful too. had breakfast buffet by 9:30am we got back to our room and prepared for check out. since the kids had so much fun at the pool we didnt get to do the public bath but we will be back for sure!
A lovely hotel, perfect for complete relaxation. The room is very confi, the Onsen is exellent, facing the ocean and the stuff is proffessional and kind. If you need to rest- this is the right place for you
A very relaxing place, ideal for a quiet getaway. They have a really nice Spa / Onsen facility which is open late. I really enjoyed their breakfast buffet at the Sunset restaurant, a wide variety of options including western and traditional Japanese. Most importantly the coffee was good! Staff were nice though sometimes seemed a little unsure at times. But as a foreigner I tend to have that effect! Lunch and dinner options around the hotel are kind of limited though and you either need a car or have to do a lot of walking up and down the hill to get to places. There's plenty of beaches nearby and a lighthouse which is nice at sunset. We came at the end of October so I imagine summer time would be much busier and with more stuff going on. Still, it was a nice weekend break and the view from the room was worth it alone!
