I love the tiny airbnb show, so my husband got me a night in a tiny home as a birthday gift. When we arrived, it was very confusing as to which tiny home we were staying in. I think a map by the main path, off the parking area, would have been super helpful. The tiny home and the courtyard were astethically pleasing, and the tiny house community concept was cute. It was definitely hard to move throughought the space inside, as we had to literally climb over/ step over the bed to get into the bedroom. It was especially a pain when I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. The train was practically in our front yard, the bed was very hard, and the pillows had no give. There was no door to the "bedroom," so the natural light kept us up. I'd recommend putting a blackout curtain to split the "kitchen" and "bedroom". There were various lightswitches throughout the space, and seemed like there was built in lighting in the bedroom but it did't work. Switches were very confusing. Price seemed steep for the experience. Looking back, we would have rather stayed in an actual hotel to get some better sleep.
I live about a half mile from train tracks and have no problem with that noise. This place might as well be a train station. There are no noise canceling headphones that would block out the noise from the trains - you can hear the horn from miles away with Bose Sleep headphones as well as with AirPods Pro (I tried both), not to mention when the train is actually passing the "hotel". Train runs between 10-11pm and, worse, again around 3am. While the tiny house itself (unit M) has hipster vibes and decently appointed, the heat didn't work or the construction was so shabby that the heat went right out the windows, thin walls and garage door. I agree with the other reviewer who was not happy with the pillows. Neighborhood appeared to be in transition. Some houses and lawns were well kept and had expensive foreign cars in the driveway. Others... weren't. There were lots of people walking and jogging around the neighborhood during the day, but at night I was legit worried about parking my rental car in the gravel parking lot with a bunch of trailers. Would not recommend if you want a good night sleep or are a woman traveling solo.
Unit K -- The concept is cool, the design of the house felt modern and crisp. Sky lights throughout was nice for light and the high ceilings helped the space feel bigger. Liked that it was walking distance to Cafe Roze which was fabulous. The negatives would be that the pillows were extremely uncomfortable, they felt inflatable due to the plastic lining. Several corners were skipped when completing the tiny house: there was paint on light fixtures, exposed electrical wires, the shower didn't have a door so the bathroom was soaked each and every time someone showered. There were about 8-10 light switches which some worked and some didn't, they really should label them so you are turning each and every light on and off to figure out which is which. Closing the bathroom door completely meant you needed to endure a SUPER loud, earth shattering crack each and everytime meaning that trips to the bathroom were impossible without waking your guest up and less privacy. All in all, calling this a hotel is misleading, just call it an Airbnb which definitely wasn't worth the price. Location wasn't central to much at all so given that fact they definitely should have a TV in the unit for guests. Would I stay here again? Nope.
