Choose this place for my last couple nights in roma before heading back to my country and I'm glad. I arrived a little early and fortunately I was able to check in before 1pm which I was happy about. The room was perfect size for a solo traveler like me or a couple, maybe something I'd suggest to change is the bed "frame" that's called bubble, because it has literally a ring of metal across the bed that honestly makes no sense to me and I hit it with my leg twice while waking up. A little painful I have to say but for what I understood of the concept, each room is different so maybe the rest of it are just fine. What I wouldn't change and to me it a must of this place, is SERVICE. Karina was such an amazing host. She suggested to me some of her favorite spots in town as well as a great restaurant recommendation in trastevere and some not so touristy churches and spots near downtown. Another plus is that she speaks Italian, english and spanish so, plenty of was to communicate. I'd for sure stay there again when I'm back in Roma! =)
I was really lucky to find iRooms :-) it’s super near city centre and everything is walking distance away. Public transport at times take longer than my walks as it can be quite unreliable at times. The room was spacious and bed was super comfortable! Service from counter, maintenance and room service was wonderful. They helped with bringing my luggages up and down the stairs (yes you definitely have to climb up / down a flight of stairs even with the lift). If anything, I’m lucky I came in at around 10am as I did struggle a little with the check in process. Thank god it was manned hours as I would have no idea how to even enter the compound (please contact them and try to sort it out before you arrive as there is a form to fill) or to contact the staff as my internet connection was abit iffy. Also, I’ve seen other reviews sharing that it’s near a club and hence noisy. I was totally unbothered by ANY racket as it’s quite nestled in. In fact, there were many wonderful eateries nearby and one pretty popular ristorante right beside the hotel. There’s a supermarket 3 min walk away as well. Didn’t notice how convenient the location is until the last day! Would definitely be staying there again when I return ☺️
We were greeted by someone who didn't work at the hotel and despite his kindness couldn't explain any of the room's features to us. Then nothing was explained to us, the manager was supposed to come but it wasn't the case. We called the front desk well 10 times and I went 3 times in person for taxes and for explanations about the check out but novody was here . The floor of the bedroom is taking on water, the door handle was broken, the washbasin in the bathroom was broken to, pièces of the jacuzzi same . Finally, on the day of check-out, I had to write a note to the reception to leave the tourist taxes and the hotel keys. To conclude, we were not able to make the most of our stay despite the cost of the room. We are very disappointed, we come to Rome once a month, it is one of the worst value for money
