Ishigaki Sunset Cove

We stayed here for a week as a group of 7 and had a great time! We stayed in villa c, so I can’t speak for the single rooms. The hotel is located in the rather remote area of the island, which made it very quiet. We got picked um from the airport and had a very convenient shuttle at the day of departure taking us back to the airport. You definitely need a car, but they provide a flexible rental service. The whole property itself is very well thought off. You have a nice view of the sea, can access the beach through several ways and also get to the pool and the dining area easily. The service is super friendly and attentive, breakfast was delicious and we got a ton of recommendations from Josh so we ended up exploring a lot of the island. The kayaks (which are included, you just have to ask at the front desk) were such and add on. Take them to go out to the ocean for sunset or make your way into the mangrove forest, you won’t regret it! All in all super happy with our stay here, would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Josh and Claudinéia‘s place. It is in the north part of the island which has more wild nature and less population than south. But also that can be reached within 30mins drive. Josh has several cars to be hired from him directly so no need to hassle to rent anything from the airport. (recommended) The hotel also takes care of the Aiport Transfer of the guests. The hotel is situated by a wonderful private beach at low tide you can also reach a larger beach to the left. The combination with the pool makes it ideal for families, and kids are warmly welcome. Josh equips everybody with recommendations of spots to see on the island or places to go and dine and also helps out with reservations as it can become difficult sometimes to reach out by phone. Rooms are quiet with a great view and beds are very good. We were missing a bit of storage shelving but everything else made up for that. Beachtowels and daily cleaning are provided. The breakfast is -non japanese- fresh egg dishes are made to the point, fruits, bread or freshly baked cakes give a wonderful start to the day. We can highly reccomend this warm an welcoming place as well as Ishigaki Island itself.

exceptional stay here! I cannot recommend it more. Very quiet, safe, and beautiful!! Can rent cars for around $40 USD a day. Central to all nature activities. Buy your own food at the family mart airport to prepare
