Island City Boutique Hotel

The location is perfect, just a short walk to both the main beach and the old town. There’s a bar and a grocery store right across the street, but the room has good soundproof. We slept really well during our 5 night stay, even though the pillow was a bit too big. Just a heads-up: we were asked to pay a city tax of €10 per night, which wasn’t mentioned beforehand.

Amazing hotel and in an amazing location! The hotel is renovated and the staff even better! The receptionists were helpful and always happy to help me with everything! Food was amazing and had the best experience! Definitely staying there again in our next trip to Rhodes Island!

At the entrance they asked us for city tax, 10€ for each day. In the agency I made a reservation with, it was written as city tax in the description. I showed the girl at the reception the e-mail and payment and she called a few places but she accepted it. On the day we were going to check out, there was another officer at the reception at 4 in the morning, he also asked us to pay the city tax, I did not accept it and said that I had made all the payments and I said I would not pay, I struggled with her for 10 minutes and argued. Therefore, those who are going to go should definitely check with the agency they made the payment to and the hotel management should solve this problem. The hotel is very good in terms of location, cleaning was done every day, our room was clean, the bathroom was old. Everything was fine except the city tax problem
