Island Letting Crystal towers

I stayed at these apartments during a recent business trip and was initially impressed. The location is excellent, with a restaurant in the building and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. My room was spacious and had the potential to be a comfortable home away from home. However, the housekeeping was a major letdown. I returned to my room after work around 4 p.m., only to find it hadn’t been cleaned. When I approached the front desk, I was told the housekeeping staff was busy due to a high number of checkouts that day. While I understand busy days happen, it’s unacceptable for a hotel to be so understaffed that basic housekeeping for in-house guests is delayed or neglected. To allow cleaning, I had to leave the room and wait elsewhere on a particularly cold day, which was extremely inconvenient. When I returned, the service I waited for was shockingly subpar the bed had been made, but the floor was still dirty, with visible shoe marks and dust. Toiletries and complimentary water hadn't been replaced either. It’s disappointing because I really liked the apartment setup and had considered making this my go-to place for future trips to Cape Town. Unfortunately, the lack of attention to cleanliness and the clear indication that housekeeping is not a priority make it hard to conder staying there again. Hygiene should never not be prioritised in the hospitality industry.

Horrible room service! They skip 1 day if they don't feel like it. If they are in the mood, they barely clean. Instead of giving fresh towels, they just fold the ones on the floor. Rooms are unnecessarily big and the only heating is the smallest air-condition they could find which is not enough. No refills like water and coffee. I wonder if I will need to bag for toilet paper. Location and the view is good.

I’m really not pleased with the management of the parking situation. We never got any tag for the boom gate for the parking. Every time we have to call the reception for someone to run down to open the boom gate for us. Even though they promised to give us one. We came back late from a night out and had to sit at the gate as there was no one available to open the gate for us. The securities couldn’t help us. The room was not cleaned well and the coffee/sugar/milk sachets are never refilled.
