Staying at The Island Retreat on Hopetown was an unforgettable experience, and a huge part of that is thanks to the wonderful owner, Sheri. She went above and beyond to make our trip perfect, acting as our personal guide to the island. She provided all the key information we needed, from how to rent a golf cart and a boat to her top recommendations for restaurants and nightlife. The propert itself is absolutely gorgeous. Our room was stunning, complete with a balcony where we could relax and enjoy the incredible ocean view. With the beach right at our doorstep and a beautiful pool, we had everything we needed. The staff was outstanding as well, Chris and Leisha were amazing. While there were endless activites to enjoy on the island, The Island Retreat was our favorite place to be. Our stay at The Island Retreat in Hope Town was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views. Excellent service from Chris and Leisha. They were incredibly helpful, warm, and attentive to every detail. We felt so well taken care of the entire time. And Sheri, the owner... WOW. She is absolutely amazing. By the time we left, she felt more like family than just the owner of the property. Her genuine hospitality and kindness made all the difference in our trip. From the moment I arrived, I felt wrapped in calm, surrounded by turquoise water, blooming bougainvillea, and the kind of quiet that only exists in truly special places. The staff? Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind — they go above and beyond without ever feeling scripted. My room was airy, spotless, and carried the soft scent of ocean breeze and sunshine. Mornings were my favorite — sipping coffee with the sound of waves and the rising sun painting the sky. The beach is steps away (yes, really), and it’s exactly what you dream of: soft white sand, crystal-clear water, and barely a soul around. Add in cozy hammocks, charming local touches, and a vibe that whispers breathe easy — and you’ve got magic. If you’re looking for loud parties or cookie-cutter resorts, look elsewhere. But if you want to reconnect with yourself, the sea, and the joy of doing nothing (perfectly), this is it. Already planning my return — and I never say that lightly.
