Islander Resort

Our time here was so wonderful and above and beyond that we extended our stay twice. We did not want to leave and will be back. The rooms are beautiful and quiet, the whole property is clean. The food was amazing - definitely recommend the smash burger and ice cream sandwich! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I tried to read reviews and pick the best place on the island for the price and I believe I chose perfectly.

e stayed at Island Resort in Islamorada, Florida, in June, and we have to say – it’s one of the most beautiful and best resorts we’ve seen in the United States. Absolutely stunning design. It’s nothing like the typical American style – you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought and investment into every detail. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the entire resort feels like a dream – almost like being in the Maldives. Of course, the beach isn’t quite like the Maldives, but the setting is magical: lush green paths, brand-new bungalows, all surrounded by nature. I was honestly speechless that a place like this exists in the U.S. The value for money is outstanding. We’ve stayed at much worse hotels for the same price. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Florida Keys. You don’t have to stay in Key West – this resort is only about two hours away and offers an experience you won’t find elsewhere for the price. The feeling of sipping a cocktail after sunset, maybe taking a dip in the pool, grabbing a small bite to eat – all while surrounded by beautiful colors, natural materials, and thoughtful architecture – is simply amazing. I’m not a friend, relative, or someone who knows the owners. I have no idea who they are. I’m just a former hotel owner who truly appreciates when someone puts so much care into the small things – the furniture, the layout, the details. It’s just

We were very pleasantly surprised at how much we loved the Islander and Islamorada all around. We were there for a family vacation with 2 teenagers and we all had a great time. The activities available were wonderful and very easy to access from the Oceanside rooms. We did consider the bayside villas to have more space but wanted to be close to the amenities and we had no regrets with having less space. The pool, bar, restaurants and sports activities were all within a very short walk from our room. The patio for our room was so great - we had a nice table to eat at in addition to a very nicely appointed patio that was very comfortable and spacious. The chairs and seating areas around the pool were perfect and there were plenty of umbrellas. Our only complaint was the smell coming from the ocean. It would have been more enjoyable to lay on the beach if there was something to help mask the smell (understanding this is natural and hard to avoid). We will definitely return to the Islander.
