From the moment we arrived at the Islington Hotel, we knew we were somewhere special. The blend of old-world charm and contemporary comfort is simply stunning. Every corner of the property feels curated with care – from the elegant art pieces to the cozy fireplaces and breathtaking views of Mount Wellington. But what truly made our stay exceptional was Karen-Anne. She went above and beyond at every opportunity – warm, genuine, and an absolute pro at making guests feel seen and cared for. Whether it was thoughtful recommendations, little surprises, or just her radiant energy, she was the heartbeat of our experience. If you're heading to Hobart and want to feel completely looked after, the Islington is it. And if you're lucky enough to be welcomed by Karen-Anne, you're in for something truly special.
Excellent service and super friendly staff. Big thanks to Karen. You are always so ready to make our stay comfortable. Weather may be cold at night. But it is very warm in our heart. So much attention to our needs and the details for preparing us to dine in the late night in the glass house is totally number one in the service industry. We also appreciate Jesse for her delightful cheer, smiles and thumbs up in the morning. Our recent stay at the Islington Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the team’s warmth and flexibility were clear; especially in how accommodating they were with our voucher, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Karen Anne personally greeted us upon arrival and again at breakfast the following morning, adding a lovely personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. The room itself was spacious, beautifully warm, and filled with unique art features that gave the entire space a homely, curated feel. It struck the perfect balance between comfort and elegance. Every detail felt intentional and added to the charm of the hotel. We are truly grateful for how welcome the entire team at Islington made us feel.
