Istanbul Old City Topkapi Porta Romanos Hotel Ottoman Heritage

I stayed here for 9 nights, in general it's good hotel. They have advantages and disadvantages to be improved: Advantages: - staff are really kind, nice and supportive. They try their best to help as much as possible. - location is good for public transportation. Disadvantages: - breakfast was exactly the same for the 9 nights despite changing one type only, some dishes will be only refilled or they'll keep it as it is (I saw some cotton-like on lemon, which is red flag, unfortunately I didn't take a photo for it). - rooms are not being cleaned properly, although if you put "please clean the room" they only change the towels you put on the ground and refill the coffee and water (no cleaning for the bathroom only sticker that we cleaned it for you). - there was internet outage (as we have been informed by the staff), they didn't have alternative solution. However, staff thankfully offered the hotspot from their own mobile phones which covers only the lobby, still it doesn't reach the rooms. - There was electricity outage, they have generator which works immediately to cover and provide electricity. However, it doesn't have suppressor (silencer) and for lower rooms, it's literally like working on your head (video attached recorded around 1 AM).

I booked and paid in advance for a double room based on all the positive reviews. But when I arrived, I was extremely disappointed. They gave me a very small dirty room with no Windows in the 6th floor clearly meant for one person, with a broken extra bed added — nothing like the room I reserved. The receptionist told me the correct room would only be available the next day. That’s unacceptable. If I pay in advance, the room should be ready when I arrive. Also, the two rooms are not the same price, and I expect a refund for the difference. What shocked me most is that I saw the reception staff writing positive reviews themselves. That explains the unrealistic ratings. Very bad experience — I do not recommend this hotel.

لا انصح بهذا الفندق تماما النظافه متواضعه جدا العفش قديم جدا الافطار اقل من متواضع بيتلاعبوا بحسابات البنك اللى بتدفع بيه بيسحب من الكارت بعد ما تسافر فلوس زيادة We stay at room 601 from 8 to 14 June Not recommended because of several points: We paid by card and they took 40 euros as an addition became of 'foreign currency' and then after we left the hotel by two weeks they took 90 dollars out of the card for no reason and we had to call the bank to shut the card down. Furniture is medicore and uncomfortable. Hotel buffet is horrible, food is cold and old, nothing to drink, no variation, we stayed for 7 days and the same exact breakfast. Receptionists are non friendly and fake, the only decent person is mona who was lovely to us. We left our honest opinion on booking and the owner negotiated with us to take it down and we did, then he asked for a 10 star booking which is not deserved !!! And when we refuses he hacked the card and stole 90 dollars !!!!
