Istanbul Royal Hotel

Service and location was great. Staff went out of their way to help us. Our twin bedroom was tiny! No iron and an ancient hairdryer. Thankfully the window opened and we can get some fresh air. People constantly smoke in their rooms and the smell was overpowering! The walls are paper thin and the noise from other rooms (talking, urinating, laughter etc) was so loud that sleep was practically impossible! The breakfast was good and healthy. Overall the location is very good but, stay was not comfortable because of the noise.

I recently come back from my holiday. The room service was absolutely rubbish as there was no facilities in the room like toiletries, water, kettle(we had to pay for these things)! The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night sleep but it isn’t a 4 star hotel and I wouldn’t be visiting again. The breakfast was the same everyday and it was getting very boring as I was expecting a very continental breakfast to be served.

Should not be called Royal, standard rooms are so bad, the air conditioning was not working, the bathroom was old and the sinks were missing filters, with mould everywhere. We had a baby with us but when we arrived at midnight, they said you should wait till morning to bring a baby cot, they brought a bed instead. We asked to change the room but with the same things, only this time the AC was working. Breakfast was not good.
