On our recent trip to India we visited Agra to see Taj Mahal and stayed a night ITC Mughal in AGra. Such a beautiful hotel. It was is a pet and kids friendly hotel. This hotel is located 5-10 minutes away from Taj Mahal. On arrival we were greeted namaste and big smiles. The interior is resembling the Taj Mahal everything was white and pristine and had their corridors named after Akbar the great and his wives. Our check -in was smooth and hassle free. Harneek who was attending us was kind, polite and helpful. In the request he gave us interconnected rooms with a good view of the pool. On the top harneek Surprised the my children with for platters and Taj Mahal replica made of Chocolate. Later, in the evening they send a cake for my 40th and it was delicious . Their room service , cleanliness was amazing. I still think they can upgrade their bathrooms but it’s such a busy hotel that this might take long. The hotel has bar with live signing in the evening , free magic shows and caricutre artist for kids. They also have horse riding in the evening. Their breakfast in the morning was amazing and wide spread of food from all parts of India( dosa, idli, vadas, bataura chanan, pav bhaji, puri allo, parthas, live cooking station for eggs, pancakes , waffles, fruits , cereals , fresh juices, kullad chai, coffees, corrisants). On my request they packed breakfast for my kids for on the go. I cannot fault my experience and if I return to Agra I would definitely stay in this property again.

From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and opened the doors for us. Lush gardens lined both sides of the entrance, leading to the regal golden doors. As we stepped inside, a staff member welcomed us with a refreshing glass of Rooh Afza sherbet—a delightful touch. Check-in was quick and seamless. The entire hotel radiated cleanliness, elegance, and a truly royal charm. Our room was the best I’ve ever stayed in, complete with thoughtful amenities like dental and hair kits in the bathroom, plenty of fresh towels, and a beautiful courtyard view. The rooftop observatory offered a breathtaking view of the Taj Mahal, and the rest of the property—from the courtyard to the spa and pools—was simply stunning. The next morning, the complimentary breakfast was exceptional, featuring a generous spread of both classic breakfast favorites and traditional Indian dishes, all beautifully presented. As an American-Indian visiting India, I found the experience unforgettable. Every staff member was courteous, warm, and attentive. The hotel is well-known in the city, making it easy for Uber and auto drivers to find. It’s located in a developed part of Agra, close to many restaurants, and only about an eight-minute drive to the Taj Mahal with easy entry and exit. Overall, staying here was a royal experience I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Agra.

I was pretty chuffed about my 36 hour getaway to Agra and was looking forward to staying at ITC Mughal’s suite. First off, the property is well maintained, spacious, and provides scenic views of the city and the Taj Mahal. The food was pretty average and definitely not worth the price paid. On the other hand, the in-room dining menu had a decent amount of options, yet the bar menu did not. Service was excellent and the staff — including our TM tour guide who didn’t bore us — was quite courteous and helpful. Overall, a good stay, but the food and menu need to be worked upon.
