The hotel itself is beautiful — clean rooms, stunning ocean views, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The beach is just steps away, and the surroundings are peaceful and scenic. During our stay, we unfortunately experienced a serious incident. While surfing on the beach directly in front of the hotel, a reckless surfer crashed into my boyfriend with their board and cut his head open. The wound was 3 centimeters deep and required staples at the hospital. Even worse, the surfer immediately ran away without taking any responsibility. We are so thankful to the hotel staff — they were kind, calm, and helpful in assisting us through the situation. They made a very difficult moment more manageable. However, we couldn’t help but notice that there was no lifeguard or beach staff present when the incident happened. If someone had been watching the water, maybe they could have stepped in or helped prevent what happened. For the safety of all guests and beachgoers, we strongly recommend that the hotel consider placing a lifeguard or beach patrol during busy hours. It would add a great sense of security and prevent future accidents like ours. This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location — we just hope safety measures can be improved to protect all visitors.
Stayed two nights in mid-April/2025 Probably it was off-season so the hotel was dead quiet. For me it was perfect since I don’t like crowded hotel I loved the overall atmosphere of the property: Hawaiian theme decorations/textiles and it was relaxing healing music throughout the hotel. The beach area was beautiful with well maintained gardens. The ocean view from the room balcony was so gorgeous. It is smart that there were separate elevators to go to restaurants and onsen. Only the downside was the breakfast buffet. My partner and I are not picky but we didn’t enjoy much. Hope the busy season is better. I would come back if this part is improved.
Clean rooms, nice, well kept hotel with friendly staff. Beach nearby, great Onsen to relax after a long day. Only issue was that the beds have seen better days, too springy, had better sleep in motels so that was bit of a let down. Maybe it was only the room I stayed in so perhaps it would be a good idea to check with the staff about it.
