Jackson's Dromana

We dropped into the Hotel for a Pub Meal at lunchtime on a Saturday in July. The Hotel premises are expansive, comfortable and historical. The Hotel is on Nepean Highway and over the road from the Dromana beach - and part of a restaurant shopping strip. Or meals were excellent and taken from a fair variety offered on the Menu. The interior was both modern and old-world with historical pictures and photos decorating the walls. A short stroll through the premises uncovered a range of rooms and a back yard beer-garden.

The staff were nice , unfortunately they are busy with the bars, restaurant and pokies. The accommodation was nice, it was was clean and the room was a good size. It would be better if there was allocated parking spots for each room. The parking is for the bar, restaurant pokies and accommodation. It makes it hard when you have luggage, and have to navigate the stairs, with it.

Lovely location but food was very average. We went for lunch on a weekend, not many people inside. I ordered roast of the day (pork) which arrived with the twine still intact. Husband ordered the calamari which was average to say the least. Not impressed, especially as we had to pay at the table when our order was taken. The outdoor area could do with a bit of TLC. I don't usually leave negative reviews but it wasn't for us.
