Jackson's Hotel & Leisure Centre

Booked 2 nights here, great hotel and very helpful staff. We had food one night in the restaurant and it was 10/10, great portions and decent price! Only downfall was the breakfast possibly the worst breakfast I’ve had in a hotel apart from that no complains. Would deffo return.

1 night stay. Our original room smelt awfull. However friendly and attentive reception staff upgraded us to a river view room. Stayed in old section, parts of hotel very dated, however bathroom modern. Getting to the room was no easy navigation!. Evening meal was great, however breakfast was under whelming. Not a great selection, no other milk alternatives on display. Cooked breakfast was just warm. Is this hotel 4 stars?, maybe not.....

Nice hotel but many issues with dining over our stay. Landed on all Ireland day and place was packed. Told at check in not taking bookings for dinner but to come down late (had 2 kids with us). Came down later then asked if we had a booking, and we should have made one. Took a booking for later still before we eventually got in. Dinner was in the bar which was filled with really drunken match spectators, seated beside a loud musician with people falling around us. Not great for the kids. Eventually got reseated. Next day for dinner (we booked well in advance this time!) kids were seated and fed mains and desserts before there was any sign of our food. Had to ask 3 times about our food. We were in the restaurant a little over an hour before our food arrived. Had to rush then as the kids were finished and moaning to go. Everything else in the hotel was nice, the pool, rooms, etc but the dining experience was completely off putting and don't think we will be back because of it.
